{"id":2462,"date":"2016-06-24T16:14:25","date_gmt":"2016-06-24T14:14:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.novaknet.de\/?p=2462"},"modified":"2016-06-24T16:19:10","modified_gmt":"2016-06-24T14:19:10","slug":"sametime-9-0-1-error-installing-new-systemconsole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.novaknet.de\/?p=2462","title":{"rendered":"Sametime 9.0.1 &#8211; error installing new SystemConsole"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IBM announced IBM Sametime 9.0.1 in May this year (=&gt;<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.novaknet.de\/?p=2451\">http:\/\/blog.novaknet.de\/?p=2451<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>This week i tried to renew my test environment &#8211; so i make a complete new installation starting with 9.0.1 Version.<br \/>\nSo i started the installation, i did 100 times before<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Install IBM DB2 10.5.7<\/li>\n<li>Install Installation Mangager 1.8.4.1+<\/li>\n<li>Install Websphere 8.5.5 + Fixpack 8<\/li>\n<li>Create SSC Database<\/li>\n<li>Install Sametime System Console 9.0.1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Installation was finished, but i got error messages that the SystemConsole could not register itself and i had to manually create missing tables in the System Console database with the db2-script\u00a0createSchedTable.dll.<br \/>\nThere is also a document concerning this script on the IBM Sametime wiki =&gt;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibm.com\/support\/knowledgecenter\/SSKTXQ_9.0.1\/admin\/install\/inst_ssc_inst_run_trouble.html\">Wiki: Setting the SSC db manually<\/a><\/p>\n<p>So i created the table manually and tried to register SSC itself, but the Sametime Portlet gets an error (&#8222;CWLAA6003: portlet could not load&#8220;).<\/p>\n<p>So i thought i did a mistake and tried this again and again (on different OS) but i get every time the same error.<br \/>\nThen i tried to install the last Sametime System Console version 9.0 from feb.,\u00a02015 (poodle patch) and this version was installed successfully (w\/o errors).<\/p>\n<p>A deep analysis of the 9.0.1 SSC installation i found out, that the db-script\u00a0(createSchedTable) was missing in the SSC installation script\u00a0and therefore this is the problem&#8230;\u00a0I think IBM has to correct the software, but i found a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>workaround<\/strong><\/span><\/span> for new installations<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Workaround 1: Create SSC database, manually start the db2-script createSchedTable.dll, install SSC 9.0.1<\/li>\n<li>Workaround 2: Create SSC database, Install SSC 9.0 (9.0.0.20141222_0413 &#8211; AGAR-9RHDHN), Update to SSC 9.0.1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Note:<\/span>\u00a0I get the same error with the latest SSC 9.0.x hotfix from april 2016 on the IBM fixcentral side (<a href=\"http:\/\/www-01.ibm.com\/support\/docview.wss?rs=899&amp;uid=swg21981653\">9.0.1.20160321_0851 &#8211; Fix: AGAR-A95S8V)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here is how you manually start the db2-script<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>open DB2 command line (db2cmd)<\/li>\n<li>db2cmd &gt; <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>db2 connect to STSC<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li>db2cmd &gt; <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>db2 -tf<\/strong><\/span> \\install\\SametimeSystemConsole\\DatabaseScripts\\SystemConsole\\<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">createSchedTable.dll<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IBM announced IBM Sametime 9.0.1 in May this year (=&gt;http:\/\/blog.novaknet.de\/?p=2451).
